The Music & Pressing:
Paul Paray's Wagner recordings with the Detroit Symphony are celebrated for their razor-sharp precision, transparent orchestral textures, and vibrant, high-energy interpretations of these Romantic masterpieces. This RCA Indianapolis pressing, featuring FR7 / FR2 stampers, is an outstanding example of Mercury's renowned Olympian Series, utilizing the label's signature three-track recording technique to capture the full, uncompressed scope of the Detroit Symphony. It remains a definitive demonstration of the lean, athletic Wagnerian sound that defined Paray's tenure in Detroit.

Condition Note:
- Vinyl (VG+): Well preserved and clean, professionally deep cleaned on a VPI. Labels show light, honest signs of play with small spindle marks on both sides. Playback features scattered, occasional soft ticks that are not obtrusive, with a couple of repeating ticks at the beginning of Side Two.
- Jacket (EX): Original colorback jacket in excellent overall condition. The laminate has lifted into a small bubble along the front spine, but remains fully intact and presents well. Includes a vintage cataloging sticker on the back cover.

Provenance: From the historic private collection of Harry Weisfeld.
